God Is A Spirit

St. John 4:23,24 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

If any man must pray and pray aright, this man in question must know that God is Spirit. Spirit beings have no physical form or body only if they possess a material medium to find physical expression in this physical world. God had no beginning nor does He have an end. He started the beginning. He created this physical world and everything in it, this He did with a purpose in mind. You and I are His creation. He had a purpose in mind for creating us.

Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

We are created for His pleasure. His ways are not our ways. What gives us pleasure is not what gives Him pleasure because of the fall of Adam and the Adamic nature in us. If we must go back to the original purpose, we must live to please Him. God is Spirit and we are spirits also created in His image. To please Him, we must understand that God is a spirit being. He does not eat physical food. He cannot be seen with the physical eyes (except in exceptional cases where He reveals Himself to help a man e.g Abraham and Moses).

We are spirits, we possess physical bodies and we have souls that is made of our minds, intellect, emotions and will. During the fall of Adam, we fell in Adam. Our spirits is dead towards God. We cannot sense and respond to His demands because of the fall. However, He has made provision for our restoration in Christ Jesus. This is important having in mind that our main purpose for existence is for His pleasure. Learn His ways and take life easy in His steps. In Christ Jesus, we are restored to God. Jesus said:

 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

This is the time and hour of restoration. In Christ Jesus, we are restored to God. He came and announced the time for restoration.

 "But the hour cometh, and now is,..."

God is looking for true worshippers. These worshippers must worship Him (God) in spirit and in truth. There is a realm called sprit realm and another realm called the realm of truth. Satan also is of the spirit realm but not of the realm of truth. True worshippers of the true God must approach and worship God in spirit and in truth. What really is truth?

Psalms 119:160 "Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever."

Simply said, the word of God is TRUTH. If you must worship God in truth, you must worship by the access and understanding of His word. His word is truth. Terms and conditions necessary to access God  is spelt out in the word of God.

St. John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."

Outside the word of God, we end up worshipping the enemy of God i.e. satan. God is spirit and for us to please Him, we do that by the truth of His word. The spirit realm and the realm of truth must not be separated for God and man to have a good communion and relationship. Everything we do in the physical realm must be traceable to the spirit. By this, God will take the glory.

Pray:

Father God, I come to you having it in mind that You are spirit. Help me to come to You in truth i.e. by the word so that my worship of You can be acceptable. I surrender to Your will in Jesus name. Amen!
