IMPORTANCE OF REVELATION

 Why The Revelation

St. Matthew 1:22, 23: "Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

If the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. There is a lifestyle that is 'AS USUAL' and there is another lifestyle that is 'SUPERNATURAL'. The 'AS USUAL' life will do things to please or conform to the natural principle and laws while the lifestyle conform to the 'SUPERNATURAL' will do things to conform to the supernatural, spiritual laws and principles. You can never get supernatural results doing business as usual.

God will bring you into the supernatural by revelation and unfolding of His plans. This is what happened before the birth of Jesus Christ. This is where parents should watch and take heed to what God is saying before the birth of a child. You miss this and you set the life of the child off tangent. God gives revelations way ahead before an event occur so that everything will be on course and not be business as usual.

Before the birth of Jesus, God revealed His plans through prophets of long ago. He also revealed His plan to the parents of the child.

Matthew 1:22  "Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet,.."

When God repeats a matter more than once, it is more than serious. It will be carelessness not to take the matter seriously. God revealed the same matter to Mary the mother of Jesus at the right time and after some time, He repeated the same matter to Joseph the earthly father of Jesus.

St. Luke 1:31-33: "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end."

The name of the child was given. The parents can not afford to give the child a different name. This is obedience. The purpose and mission of the child on Earth was given. The parents were to set the ball rolling.

Mary, on hearing what the angel of God revealed, she acted almost immediately.

St. Luke 1:39 "And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;.."

She took what was said seriously and went to visit her cousin and further confirmation was given. The whole thing is now 'HIS story'.

The revelation is meant to set the ball rolling for a different outcome. It was meant to chart a new course of event. God is love. It was love that made Him to reveal the coming of Christ way ahead of time. Our change is in the revelation of Jesus Christ. We are empowered by divine revelation.
