The End of A Sinner

 The End of The Sinner

St. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

When God created the world, it was love that was the motivation behind it. He intended for man to be the object of His love. This can only become true if man stay within the boundary God created. What kept man out of that boundary is sin.
When Adam committed the sin of disobedience, this first act of sin opened the door for satan to reign over man and creation. Sin gave satan some legitimacy and right of way to suppress. The price has to be paid for a recovery back to the original plan of God to be achieved. Sin must be punished and the price to be paid for sin was paid in Christ Jesus.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, ..."

God has not changed. He loved the world back then and yet love the world today. He hated sin back then and yet hate sin today. The price God has to pay for sin to be dealt with is Jesus, His son. He gave His son. This was achieved on the cross of Calvary. He did this once and for all. No one is covered by this insurance except by faith in Christ Jesus.

"...whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

It takes faith in Christ and the finished work of the cross to be free from the power and clutches of sin and consequently free from satan and all that he brought to man along sin. Will you believe in Jesus and turn your back from sin? If you will not turn away from sin, the consequences is damnation.

"...whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

This "...should not perish..." suggests that there is a perishing for unbelievers and the sinner. The end of the sinner is not everlasting life. Take note of the word EVERLASTING. It means lasting for ever without an end. While the saint who persevered to the end will have everlasting life, the sinner who continue in sin to the end will have everlasting damnation.

"... whosoever believeth in him should ... have everlasting life."

Who is a sinner? In Christianity, for example, sin is often associated with actions that go against the commandments of God as spelt out in the Bible, such as lying, stealing, or committing adultery. Much more, a sinner is one who does not embrace the saving grace of God made possible in Christ Jesus. While it is possible that a person may not indulging in specific acts of sin, the nature of God is not in him to hate sin. The sinful lifestyle is hidden in him and at anytime, the devil can push him into unimaginable sin and error and you will wonder where it came from. All along, it has been hidden and it finally found expression. Sin will be punished. What ever a man sow, he will reap including sin. 'Everlasting' mean without ending. But because of the love of God, forgiveness comes by the blood of Jesus.

2 Thessalonians 1:8,9 "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;.."

Everlasting destruction awaits the sinner who refuses to repent. The fires of hell fire is better imagined than experienced. Why will a man not take the opportunity to repent before it is too late.

"In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:..."

What will be your lot if you die today? Will you enjoy everlasting life or will you suffer everlasting fire? Do something about it today. Tomorrow might be too late. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and repent of your sin and let the Holy Spirit of God change you in and out. Allow your life to be led and guided by God's word. A sinner does not know love. To a sinner, love is self gratification out of control.

St. Matthew 25:43,46 "I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not...
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

If you can pray for God's mercy, and repent from sin, you have a lot with the saints of God.

Pray:
Father, I now know how terrible not to know and walk with You. I believe in the Lord Jesus and repent of my sin(s). I allow my life to be led and guided by the Holy Spirit and Your word. Make me a saint today and forever. This I pray in Jesus name. Amen!
