Living The Blessed Life: Enjoying The Blessing

Image
Living The Blessed Life Enjoying The Blessing Enjoying God's Blessings 1 Timothy 6:17 "Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;.." Why do we all want to be blessed? Why is it that we do not want to be cursed? The blessings brings pleasure while the curse brings displeasure. No one wants to live in displeasure or discomfort. Many people move in the direction of more pleasure. We all want to see better results from the things we do. This is the sign that we all want to be blessed and not cursed. Does Good wants us to be blessed? Talking about enjoyment, does God approve of all enjoyments?  "Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;.." Living The Blessed Life: The Blessing And The Curse

The Blessing And The Curse Deuteronomy 27:8-13 "And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly. And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day. And Moses charged the people the same day, saying, These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin: And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali." The blessing has an opposite, the curse. You are either blessed or cursed. There is no middle line. To be blessed is more than having money. It is the release that commands the flow of virtue that makes life to flow with ease. To be cursed is more than living

Living The Blessed Life Attitude For The Blessing Matthew 5:1-3,13 "And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.... Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." Who does not want to be blessed? I am sure not you. Hardly will you find any one who does not want to be blessed. We want to be happier than we were. We want to live healthier. We want to have happy families. We want people to love us and do us good. We want to move around freely, to go to the places we want, to get the things we want, to do the things we want, to eat, to drink, to achieve, to be the people we preconceived to be fortunate and happy. We all want to be blessed. It comes at a price.
