Blessings From The Beginning 

God Blessed 

Genesis 1:22

"And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth."

Once upon a time, blessing started. How did it start? Why did it start? Who started it? Can blessing be stopped? If we can answer some questions correctly, we will do ourselves some good and paradventure increase our chances of being blessed and also reduce our chances of not being blessed (i.e cursed). 

When we get back to the beginning of anything to check how, when, where and why something started, we are solving the mystery behind the thing to find a way to forge ahead and chart a smooth curve for the journey ahead. While we can enjoy being blessed, we can enjoy even much more by understanding of how it works otherwise we will just scratch the surface. Going back to the beginning brings us to the root of the matter and foundation on which to build a solid structure. Why will there be a blessing and it disappears? It is simply a matter of understanding. Get understanding. Of all that you will get, understanding gives you an edge. So let us look at who started it.

"And God blessed them, saying..."

That was the beginning. At this point, it should be clear to you who started the blessing business. Who else do you think should have started the blessing business? Blessing did not start itself. Adam, the first man did not start the blessing business. In fact the enemy of God and man i.e the devil did not start the blessing business. Why will it take God to start the blessing business? He existed first before anything or anyone. But it is not enough that He existed first to have started the blessing business. He is the fountain and the source that never runs dry. He is the reservoir of blessings that is deeper than the oceans and wider than the whole universe. So why did He bless from the beginning? Out of love, it is in His nature to release from His abundance. He does not hoard. He was and is still very generous. So how did He release the blessing?

"And God blessed them, saying..."

God bless by the words of His mouth. He spoke blessing words from His mouth. Just saying words flying from the month, does that mean blessing? 

Matthew 12:34

"O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

This is how to measure a man i.e. by the word of his mouth for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. This is very important. The mouth speaks what was in the heart. Rain pours because the cloud is thick carrying the rain. Blessings flows from the reservoir to where is needed. God was pouring from His heart ie the reservoir to man. This is how God releases blessing. Before rain falls, the cloud must gather. Before the blessing is released, the heart must be full and ready to release. Once it is released, everywhere under His influence is soaked (blessed). Words are the carrier of blessings. 

Hebrews 11:3

"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

Getting this point is important to staying on course and enjoying the blessing. When God created this world, He spoke what was in His heart and as He spoke, it became a reality. So, watch it when God is speaking because He has not changed. Do all that is in your power to hear God correctly. What is God saying to you today? This is crucial for the future. What will God likely say to you if He were to speak right now? This is a trigger for the blessing. Will God rebuke you. Will He empower you? Rebuke and empowerment is just one part of the equation. When God bless you, it can be like a rushing waters of a broken dam. 

What was the blessing in what He said?

"And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, ..."

Be fruitful and multiply. He was in a sense saying, "Be productive", "Bring good results " and by saying, the power for it to become a reality follows. God does not want them to be useless. In the same way, God does not want you to be useless, He wants you to be productive and relevant. God will bless you. Anything that is not making you relevant will be removed.

Who were the object of God's blessings?

"And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth."

Anything under the influence of God, He blesses. Are you under the sphere and influence of God? All created things including man can be blessed. The land can be blessed. The sea and land creatures can be blessed. Birds can be blessed. Blessings is not just what comes to you, it is also what becomes of you. So if money comes to you today and wretchedness becomes of you tomorrow, that is questionable. May God bless you and may what becomes of you be greater. Many people had money but ended up in jail because of the evil that becomes of them. God will speak life to you and your life will move from glory to glory. May it come to pass that you will become relevant and useful in the hands of God. God bless everything you have and the ideas that comes through your mind.

Genesis 1:28

"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

If for any reason we will not answer all questions, let us settle this one thing ie. God started the business of blessings because He was and is still the most qualified to bless. The enemy of God and man i.e. the devil usurps and counterfeits. He calls his own blessing but that is deception, it is actually a curse. He adds sorrow to his equation to appear to balance when it is not balanced. You shall be free from his deception. Go back to the root and foundation. Go back to God and let Him rewire you for the true blessing.

My Father and my God, I return to You for the true blessing. From the beginning, You have a good intention for me but the enemy did all the damage. Today I return for the true blessing and I receive it by faith in Christ Jesus. Amen!
