Living The Blessed Life Life: One Man For Many

Image
One Man For Many Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:..." The power that one Man can have over a crowd of people can be enormous. So much good can come to a group of people just by the influence of one Man but equally interesting to note is that so much evil can also come by the influence of a man. We cannot say for sure who that man (or woman) in question can be except God Himself who knows all things. When a people have suffered a curse or a misfortune, sometimes all it takes is a man to take the right action to redeem the people. Once the requirement is met, the people by the action of one man (or woman) will be restored to another season of fortune, favour and freedom. Equally, unfortunately is the case of a people who have had enjoyed so much blessings and peace but by the misdeeds of one man (or woman) will suffer loses untold. If all this is true then think of t

Living The Blessed Life: Mary Noticed And Favoured Amongst Others

Image
Mary, Favoured Amongst Women  Luke 1:28 "And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." Picking a person in the crowd for special purpose is not something we can easily throw away. People are selected for various reasons. You never know when you will be selected and for what purpose. It is up to you however to be ready when you are selected. First, get it that you are noticed in many different ways from many sources. What matters is that you are at the right place at the right time doing the right things for the right purpose. What is considered right depends on your relationship with God and man, the rules and laws that governs your life and the purpose of your existence. God has a special eye on you. All power belongs to Him and He can cause anything to happen in your favour. Does God have favourite? It all depends on from what perspective you are looking at things. You and every other p

Living The Blessed Life: Vashti Disfavoured/Esther Blessed

Image
Vashti Disfavoured, Esther Blessed  Esther 1:12 "But the queen Vashti refused to the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him." Esther 2:17 "And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti." One of the ways you can enjoy the blessings of God is to gain favour in the eyes of those who are in position to make life easy for you. The other way around, life can be made uneasy when you enter into disfavour with God sent helpers. To understand this simple principle, study the life of Vashti and Esther. Having these two you will clearly see 'Displacement/Replacement' principle of the blessings of God at work. This principle does not apply when opportunities that does not exist but is to be created. Many positions and fewer people does not also ap

Living The Blessed Life: God Blessed Jabez

Image
God Blessed Jabez 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 " And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested." There is the tendency to be so used to a situation so much so that a change is not welcomed. This syndrome is what makes some prisoners to return back to prison once released. The mind cannot let go of the old life. Accepting change should be normal but change to most is difficult to be accepted especially if the condition that demands change comes from parents or some people we so much respect. Parents tell their children how they suffered without telling the children that change is possible and how that it can be made possible. To accept change in this

Living The Blessed Life: God Blessed Solomon

God Blessed Solomon  1 Kings 3:3-5,9-10,13 "And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee... Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.... And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days." King Solomon was known for his wisdom, wealth, and building projects, including the First Temple in Jerusalem. His father was King David and mother was Bathsheba, and he ru

Living The Blessed Life: Blessed Abraham

Image
Blessed Abraham  Genesis 24:1 "And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things." It is a good ending when a man started somewhere small and kept the focus until his life was spent ending somewhere greater than where he started. Abraham stayed with God all through the journey of life starting from the time God spoke to him until his dieing days. It is said of him  "And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things."   To be blessed in all things should be the desire of every man. From the age of 75 to 175, Abraham was faithful and kept to the terms of the covenant with God. Human error crept in along the way but he was able to retrace his steps. God bless Abraham and he stayed blessed till the end. The same testimony awaits you if you will keep to the terms of God's covenant till the end. Few people will have the same testimony like Abraham for many reasons. There will dis

Living The Blessed Life: Blessing From The Beginning

Image
Blessings From The Beginning  God Blessed  Genesis 1:22 "And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth." Once upon a time, blessing started. How did it start? Why did it start? Who started it? Can blessing be stopped? If we can answer some questions correctly, we will do ourselves some good and paradventure increase our chances of being blessed and also reduce our chances of not being blessed (i.e cursed).  When we get back to the beginning of anything to check how, when, where and why something started, we are solving the mystery behind the thing to find a way to forge ahead and chart a smooth curve for the journey ahead. While we can enjoy being blessed, we can enjoy even much more by understanding of how it works otherwise we will just scratch the surface. Going back to the beginning brings us to the root of the matter and foundation on which to build a solid structure. Why will there be a ble

Living The Blessed Life: Agreements In The Blessing

Image
Agreements In The Blessing  The Blessed Amongst Others  In Agreement  Amos 3:3 "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" No man can live alone like an island. Trying to build walls to keep people away will not change much, you must live with people whether you are blessed or not. It is better to learn how to live with them than to burn bridges that connects with them. Building walls will need people, living within the wall need people whether inside the wall or outside. The blessing will attract people who will want to be partakers of the blessing either as dependants or partners. It is wisdom to know how to walk and relate with people. Even if you part ways with people, they or you may have some measure of influence. Comments about you by people who knew you can influence a lot about you. One of the many ways to increase your chances of success with your walk with people is your agreement with them. How you agree can make or mar your relationships. Agreement can be d

Living The Blessed Life: The Blessed In The Midst of Others

Image
The Blessed Amongst Others  Isaiah 61:9 'And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed." God gave Isaiah this understanding that once the Spirit of God comes on him, he shall liberate the people from oppression and they (the people) shall be blessed and other people around them shall see the glory. The blessings of the Lord can be so obvious to the extent that it cannot be hidden. The way people will perceive the blessed of the Lord can vary depending on the way the blessing have changed life of their lives in comparison with the former ways of living on the one hand on the other hand compared to the general lifestyle of the people around the blessed. Generally, when people know a person, they will create an impression of what they expect from the person based on what they can see and what they perceive as reality. They will tend to want to m
